Audit under GST

Meaning of audit; audit under sections 65 & 66; auditor’s right to access premises & records.

Demand and Recovery

Determination of tax not paid/short paid/erroneously refunded/ITC wrongly availed or utilised (fraud & non-fraud); general provisions for determination; tax collected but not paid; tax wrongfully collected and paid to Centre/State; instalments; first charge on property.

Inspection, Search & Seizure and Arrest

Powers of inspection, search, seizure and arrest; power to summon persons.

Offence & Penalties

Offences and penalties; detention, seizure and confiscation of goods and/or conveyances; summary of penalty types.

Prosecution and Compounding of Offences
